Honest stories can open hearts and change how we understand mental health and substance use challenges. Join us for Seeds of Hope, an evening of local voices and shared experiences that will deepen awareness, challenge stigma, and remind us that support, connection, and recovery are possible.
Hosted by Newmarket Community Church, this event reflects our commitment to being a mental health friendly and recovery friendly workplace and house of worship, where compassion, belonging, and support is part of our shared life.
Meet our story sharers for the evening:
Harrison Bryan, of Portsmouth, (formally of Newmarket) will share his journey through mental health and substance use challenges to sustained recovery since 2021. A peer support specialist and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) NH presenter, Harrison also helps first responders better understand first episode psychosis.
Alexa Felix, of Manchester, brings the perspective of a daughter who lost her father to suicide and a therapist helping others navigate mental health challenges. She serves on NAMI NH’s Board of Directors and co-captains Team SOSL, Survivors of Suicide Loss.
Jordan Trombly, of Manchester, is a general manager in his family’s remodeling business, with degrees in computer science and business. Through his work with NAMI NH since 2020, he helps open conversations about mental health and its impact on all of us through his story telling.
Come listen, learn, and help grow a community where people feel understood, supported, and free to seek help. Everyone is welcome. Admission is free; donations are gratefully accepted.

Festival Of Trees
This holiday season, The Newmarket Millspace Center for Art, History & Culture is bringing a magical new
tradition to our town, the Festival of Trees. This special event brings our community together to celebrate the
holiday season while raising funds to support the Newmarket Millspace Education Committee's mission to
bring more family friendly events to the community. We are inviting local businesses and organizations to
help make this first-time community event and fundraiser a success.
What is a Festival of Trees?
This event will feature beautifully decorated Christmas Trees and wreaths sponsored and decorated by local businesses, non-prophets, community groups and organizations. Each tree will be uniquely themed and decorated by the sponsor and is often paired with gift certificate(s) or physical items associated with the business.
Visitors purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win the fully decorated trees and wreaths along with the associated prizes. Proceeds from the event support The Education Committee's mission to bring more family friendly events to The Millspace. Here is a chance to celebrate the season and give back to the community!
Invitation to Participate in Our Festival of Trees Fundraiser
We invite you to participate by sponsoring and decorating a tree or wreath (or both) for the Festival of Treeson December 4th. Trees and wreaths will be raffled off to a winner.
Tree and wreath sponsors are in charge of planing and providing their own theme, decorations, and supplies. Sponsors are encouraged to include associated gift cards or physical items associated with the sponsors business or objective(s) to be included with the winning tree.
Each tree will have a placard detailing the sponsors name and information, the trees theme and associated prices. This information will be collected from the sponsor and the cards will be created by The Millspace.
Sponsors should not place actual gift cards on their trees but are encouraged to use copies as placeholders. The original items will be held by the Millspace and stored for safety until the tree is picked up.

Youth Theatre Workshop
Get ready for some improv, games, and the chance to create something new, with a spooky twist! Millspace is offering a one day youth theatre workshop, on Saturday October 10th, for kids aged 9 to 14.
Attendees will learn performance and improv techniques, in a fun, low-pressure environment, ending the day with an improv showcase. (Showcase starts at 2:30!) To get you in the Halloween spirit, all scenes in our showcase will be loosely based around the idea of fright. This could range from a toddler who’s afraid of the dentist, to a vampire hosting a jazzercise class!

First Contact is all about imagining alien civilizations and bringing them to life through art—during our week together, we will design extraterrestrial species, build strange new worlds, and create solar systems, spacecraft, and out-of-this-world movie merch inspired by classic sci-fi.
This program also includes field trips to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center for a full-dome space show and a look at real spacecraft, and the Portsmouth Historical Society to create mysterious, museum-grade alien artifacts.
The week will close with an Intergalactic Expo to share discoveries and creations with friends and family!
About AIR Programs:

ACT Mural Reveal and Community Sing
The Arts, Culture, & Tourism Commission and Newmarket 250 are throwing a party! Join us on Flag Day, June 14, 2026, as we unveil Newmarket’s newest art installation and raise our voices in song. During the first half of the year, over 300 of our friends and neighbors met at events around town to paint small tiles that will be joined together to create a one-of-a-kind mural on Main Street. Each individual picture will be part of a giant unity tree, symbolizing community and connection. This beautiful mural will celebrate both our town and America, as it marks its 250th birthday. The Unveiling Ceremony will feature music, history, flags, and inspiring messages as we all gather right on Main Street. After those festivities, we will process across the street to the Millspace for a Community Sing and ice cream! Whether you are a trained vocalist or strictly a shower-singer we invite you to raise your voice to sing songs of Americana and celebration. Come join the party!

On April 15, 1912, one of the most prolific disasters in History occurred when the R.M.S. Titanic struck an iceberg and sank, taking the souls of hundreds of its passengers with her.
In this dark comedy, we find some of those souls still wandering around the wreckage of the damned ship, unaware of the tragedy that has come about them.
This 90 Minute abridged version of this piece highlights the dedication and years of work the Eldridge has put into this concept. With Music written specifically for the piece, it's a unique and haunting experience that you've never seen.

B*tch Eat Dog
B*TCH EAT DOG is a puppet-filled sketch show that uses classical texts, feminist theory, and singing willys to interrogate the gendered ethics of pursuit. Punch and Judy puppets perform a gender swapped adaptation of Moby Dick that explores the fallacies of girlboss feminism. A tradwife named Felicity Groundwater hawks her questionable raw milk wares and ultimately breastfeeds a member of the audience with one of her nine pendulous burlap boobs. A new kind of IUD insertion escalates until rats are being shoved down a cervix. The evening is hosted by a hapless, well-intentioned white man who flails wildly as his misguided attempts at allyship lead to a painful realization.
Content Warning: Recommended for mature audiences(18+). Contains themes of violence, non-consensual sexual content, and some puppet nudity.

Youth Theatre Workshop
Calling all creative teens! On May 24th, we'll be rolling out another awesome improv workshop-- this time for youth aged 13 to 17.
Expect a day full of improv & theatre games, all in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Performers will learn acting and improv techniques, with the chance to use fairy tales as inspiration for their scenes. We'll wrap up the day with an improv showcase at 2:30PM -- Family and friends are welcome!
